The 8th annual meeting of the research group (GdR) "Géométrie stochastique" takes place at Avignon University in 2019. The GdR aims to bring together researchers who study spatial random models from a theoretical or applied perspective. The GdR has members from various disciplines such as probability, statistics, geometry, ergodic theory, image analysis, algorithmics and astrophysics. More information is given on the GdR's web site:

This year, a special session is organized in honor of Christian Lantuéjoul (MinesParisTech). It will take place in the afternoon of Thursday June 20th.
In the tradition of the preceding meetings, two short courses are proposed:
Anne Estrade (Université Paris-Sud) - Geometry of Gaussian fields
Claudia Redenbach (TU Kaiserslautern) - Random tessellations
The short courses will take place on Monday June 17th and Tuesday June 18th.
